Busters Pizza & Donair
We revisited Buster’s in Drayton Valley for a nostalgic bite of their Donair-A-Saurs pizza, the spot that sparked our love for donair pizza years ago.
Appearance and Presentation
The pizza arrived looking hearty, though the cheese was slightly overdone, and it lacked the fresh tomatoes we both seemed to remember (Mandela Effect?), which we felt would have added a nice pop. The cut was also uneven, but the familiar aroma was still there.
Taste and Flavor
Flavor-wise, it delivered that satisfying balance of sweet sauce, garlicky undertones, and a touch of spice. The missing tomatoes and the thinly shaved donair meat changed the texture slightly, but the classic donair taste was unmistakable.
Overall Impression
While it’s not exactly like our first experience, Buster’s Donair-A-Saurs still hits the mark as a comforting, flavorful option for donair pizza fans. Adding back the tomatoes and thicker meat could bring it closer to perfection.
